Could the server fee, and the percentage of profits you pay be deducted from your initial investment, instead of being paid separately each month? If it did go belly up after several years then you’d be far more out of pocket than what your initial investment was.
They don't have access to the money in your account, only the account holder can access that.

I didn’t realise that. That should cut out a very large percentage of the likelihood of being ripped off.

So you lost about £120 overnight? Losses are always going to happen in any form of trading, I guess the loss could have been a lot more so no need to worry yet!

No official word from the the guys who set up the trades, but reading between the lines and comments from some of the regulars, it looks like the trades which resulted in the loss on March 12th was all down to bad judgement, and a failure to suspend any EURGBP trades. We haven't had any EURGBP trades since that day, and will steer clear of them until the whole area is a bit steadier.

Meanwhile we continue to claw back the losses for this month.

An excellent weeks trading still at reduced risk, and we have almost wiped out the hit we took due to Brexit, plus the £31 cock up that I made at the start of the month.
So we have a another week to go to try and gain some profit. The good news is the brakes are coming off.

As from Monday 25th March 2019 we are changing our risk position
This will mean that we will revert back to pre-Christmas settings of 0.02 per £1000.

Sounds like they got bored waiting for Brexit and have decided that uncertainty is the new normal, which is not necessarily unreasonable! Either that or they're just, to use a gambling expression, going "on tilt"! :)

I look forward to seeing how March ends and April unfolds.

There’s a couple of cracking days there for what you’ve invested. You got 1% interest overnight on Thursday. That beats some banks yearly rates!

No double edge to those comments Col, they've adopted the more cautious approach for a while and the decision to revert to more normal trading coincides with us reaching the point where we were supposed to leave the EU. I've been reading various investment related articles and forums recently and there are those with the view that the markets are getting less sensitive to Brexit developments (and, of course, it's a big world with not all investments and currencies overly interested in the UK).

Obviously the overall result is impressive, I suppose I'd just be concerned they were over anxious to get back in the black before the end of the month, when I see some of the big red numbers overnight over the last few days.

For me, I'm just watching this with genuine interest. You'd typically assess an investment's performance over a period of years so there's very little to go on here. Obviously, if you can avoid any more substantial losses the potential growth could be substantial now the handbrake's coming off.

Let's see how things stand when you've held the investment for 12 months. It's certainly outperforming my Stocks and Shares ISA that I've just received a statement for! :(

Still here - same as Kenbo I check in every day and still very interested. I do check the link and although most of it is straightforward I do find the actual trading hard to understand but seems to be doing very well now after the 'blip.'

For anybody watching along with this, I dipped my toe in around 2 weeks ago.

As I'd previously said, I've been involved with another forex group for around 18 months or so now, so was perhaps not as suspicious as others at the outset.

I was lucky to have joined up just after that blip, so all positive for me so far.

All the instructions and process to join is exactly as Col has laid out and is pretty straightforward.

Will be seeing how it pans out for the next few months before adding further funds.

March got off to a bad start when I promptly lost £31 on a trade by my personal mistake, and compounded a week later as we dropped another £115 loss which we'll put down to the Brexit chaos which was going on. Regardless, they all still count and we have to take those on the chin and record them as losses.

This last week has seen the traders revert back to pre-Christmas settings of 0.02 per £1000, and as you can see has seen some cracking results. :)

Running total for March + £135.10
We pay 20% of the profits + £15 for server for the following month. So if I've done my maths right comes to £93.08

Results with all fees paid
Feb - + £143.53
Mar - + £93.08

Going great Col, you must be looking forward to some decent gains in April now they've reverted to the previous risk setting. Any thoughts on your strategy here? Just letting it ride and enjoying watching it grow is obviously a perfectly legitimate option but I wondered if you had any inclination to add more funds? I assume one could top up with a lump sum or even add, say, £100 per month if so inclined and treat it like a regular savings scheme?

Also, any thoughts on when you might draw down any of the profits, e.g. if your current balance grew to £10k?

Been trying to get my head round how the figures are displayed, e.g. this month's profit of £135.10 followed by (-£63.06). Worked out that's a comparison to last month, e.g. the difference between last month's profit and this month's.

Re the profit in £ terms but loss of 181.5 "pips", am I right in thinking that's the equivalent of making a loss to level stakes but showing a profit because of the staking plan?

I had to go and have a look at where you were reading that harry.
To be honest I never venture down there, mainly because I'm following the graph every day.

I have thought about adding more funds, but I've got £4300 in there now, and at the end of the day it's not free money, their is risk involved.
So I think that's as much as I want to put in. Although there are guys on the group chat who post screen shots from their phones, and there are some very big accounts on there 50k and upwards.
Sorry if I'm not being clear about that, but when you see the profits rolling in, you really do want to add more funds, but you still have to be sensible.

Of course the options to deposit are always there, you can deposit any time you like
Withdrawing is a bit different, that has to be done when there are no trades ongoing.

The trading increments go up a point every £500, so all going well I'll be on that shortly.

I feel like I should start drawing some profits once I get over 5k, but then I may change my mind depending on how the trading is going.
Re the profit in £ terms but loss of 181.5 "pips",
I'm not really clued up on the "pips" side off it, so I can't really say with any conviction.
The link I posted earlier would probably give you a better idea.
