Well done Matt, even if it was a Chelsea goal that made the bet a winner! ;-)

Liverpool v Shrewsbury: I'm going out on a limb a bit here but I think the prices are big for the visitors' Aaron Pierre in the various goalsscorer markets with Hills.

18/1 anytime, 50/1 first and last and 500/1 for 2 or more.

3 goals this season and the spreads see him as more like a 7/1 shot.

Happy to have a few quid on at those prices.

Having three first goalscorer bets today

Ivan Toney of Peterborough - the form team of the division and Toney has scored 6 in his last 5 games (14/5)

The other two are Theo Robinson of Colchester (4/1) , scored 4 in his last 3 games, and not as strong a fancy Daniel Powell of Crewe at 11/2

There’s a chance that Powell won’t play - he pulled out of the match on Saturday during the warm up - but he’s definitely a bit of value as Crewe do spread the scoring around the team, however he’s scored more than the favourite ( Porter ) who’s odds are 7/2 but he’s only played once in the league since November and hasn’t scored in the last 5 games, and Anene, who is likely to miss the game as he was taken off on Saturday

Powell has scored in the last 3 games he’s played and worth taking the 11/2 on the chance he plays

Definitely a Victor Meldrew I don’t believe it evening.

Of my 3 selections one is a non runner

Of the other two my team scored first in both games which obviously you need, however Robinson scored the second and Toney has scored twice but was not FGS

Just the one bet I fancy tonight - another attempt at the first goalscorer market.

Edouard of Celtic 11/4 Bet 365

It’s top of the table v the bottom club
Celtic have been FGS in 10 of their 12 home games, whereas Hearts haven’t scored first in any of their away games

Celtic have only conceded 1 goal in their last 5 games outscoring their opponents 17-1

Edouard is having a good goal scoring streak - scored 4 in his last 2 games and 7 in his last 4

Good luck Hoof and unlucky last night. Had a look at the game and found myself in the "too short" camp when it comes to Edouard.

Gone for Mc Gregor for an interest, 7/2 anytime with Fred (with a seasoning of 10/1 first goal).

Also backing Mounie anytime for Huddersfield v Cardiff at 12/5 Hills. No goals before 21st December but 6 in 9 appearances from that date onward.

Not scored a brace yet but worth a tickle at 20/1 that he does so tonight.

McGregor scored so one from two which is ok at 7/2.

Taking a tilt at 6/1 Harvey Barnes tonight (maybe bit more on BF if matched first). Obvious suspects Jimenez and Vardy plenty short enough for my liking.

With Mourinho having a very public moan about Spurs having to play Sunday before their Champions League midweek game v Leipzig and then playing next Saturday lunchtime against Chelsea, it could be that Spurs' focus may not be fully geared to Aston Villa today. Taking away the embarrassing debacle when they lost 6-1 at home to Man City, Villa have tightened up lately and have beaten Leicester and Watford (ending their good sequence) in thier last two home games. With 3/1 generally available I feel that's a bit of value on the home side.

Aston Villa (3/1) v Spurs.

A few bets for an interests in tonight's CL games.

A Madrid/Liverpool: >2.5 at 2.7 and Partey to score at 12.5 (both exchange prices)

Dortmund/PSG: Di Maria to score at 3/1 Fred and 4.2 on BF

A bit contrarian with the overs bet but think the "obvious" outcome is underpriced. Di Maria often flies under the radar at PSG and obliges at decent odds while Partey had a phase of scoring at huge prices quite some time back and may be worth a small bet at double figure odds tonight.

:). Timmo, can't be having the type who only bet on the big glamour ties! I'm going off piste and betting on some bloke called Messi! :lol

Just feel he's overpriced tonight even allowing for Barca being away to Napoli. Scored 4 at the weekend and think he'll have a big game.

Used boost with Lads for 13/10 anytime and 12/1 score both halves, took 7/1 brace and 33/1 hat trick with Unibet. (Just realised I could have beat that last price by using the boost with Lads but was using an unexpected free bet anyway so never mind.)

Let's hope thing get a little Messi over in Naples!

Cheers and you Timmo.

One more for me, Benrahma anytime 11/5 PP for Brentford at Luton. Scored in 5 of his last 10 and looks big to me at >2/1.

Have been waiting for the Red Bull Salzburg game that was postponed yesterday due high winds. The home side have been steady corner gainers in their European exploits this season apart from the games against Liverpool in the Champions League Failure to qualify put Salzburg down in the Europa League and hastened the departure of Erling Haaland.

Salzburg find themselves 4-1 down from the first leg in Frankfurt but the late away goal they scored has given them a glimmer of hope. I'm sure they will be all guns blazing and could maintain their corner-gaining trend. Hopefully Frankfurt don't score early to burst the balloon.Whilst a buy of corners squared is tempting, I've gone for the more solid fixed odds option of over 6.5 corners.

Red Bull Salzburg > 6.5 corners v Eintracht Frankfurt 10/11 (skybet).
