Over the last 5 matches in which Bodo Glimt has scored (i.e. over the last 6 apart from Valerenga), your Amor Layouni has been 1st goalscorer once. What was noticeable over the same period was that Hakon Evjen was first goalscorer three times. He actually scored the opening 2 goals of the game in Bodo Glimt's last fixture. Your guy seems to be the penalty taker so that is a good pointer and he also scored (Bodo's 3rd) in the return fixture away at Viking. However, at 15/2 (Bet 365) 1st scorer I'll be greedy and go for Hakan Evjen.

It's also tempting to have a buy of total match goals on the spreads at 3.6, although that's a bit high for my usual match goals bet. However, by Norwegian standard the weather during the game is set to be very decent, albeit a bit breezy.
Can't pass up the opportunity to take a contrarian stance to 2 excellent posts and on a subject as obscure as Norwegian footy! :lol

Bringing all my knowledge on the league to bear (that'll be none) and the usual bluff and bluster about goalscorer markets, I think the value lies with a chap called Zinckernagel. I've backed him at 15/2 first and 9/4 anytime with Betway. Seems to be starting as centre forward, has 3 in his last 5 appearances, 2 as sub followed by 1 as a starter. Obviously fresh and in form, what could go wrong! Have backed Nick's pick first e/w for the pittance allowed (each way terms a lot better than the anytime price).

Good luck guys, may at least one of us win something!

:lol Cheers for being the bearer of good news, I hadn't checked yet. As I've always said, never take me on at Scandinavian footy! :>

Unlucky Nick and Hoof but thanks for posting and drawing my attention to the game. These things are swings and roundabouts; next week I'll put some nonsense up that will lead someone else to a value bet (happens all the time with rugby)! ^/

Well done, Harry :thumbs . I spotted Zinckernagel and wasn't sure whether to back him 1st or last goalscorer given he is either a sub or gets subbed off. Needless to say I left him completely alone in the end *, . If it stays 1-0 that could have landed both ways (although I have had a buy of Bodo Glimt goals at 2.4, so plenty more please). To be fair to a very unlucky Hoof, it was Amor Layouni's shot that was fortunately blocked by Viking's keeper to present an easy tap in for Zinckernagel's early goal.

Sounds like a typical Zinckernagel goal! ;-)

Good luck with a few more for your goals buy. I was pretty much looking at your 2 guys along with another who didn't start. The "Z" man was just in the "other" category but luckily caught my attention. I then decided (with uncharacteristic patience) to wait for the line ups before placing my bets.

There must be loads of value to be had in the less mainstream leagues but, with no spread prices to go at, I rarely end up looking at them unless something draws my attention to a game. Obviously, one can't cover everything without being spread too thin.

Place money landed on Evjen it would appear. :thumbs

I've had to back Layoun now! 5/1 next goal and 13/8 anytime.

Also bit surprised to be allowed what I asked for with 365 which begs the question whether I might be able to get more on in certain markets if I wait for the game to go in play? 8]

Puntersmate Bank Builder

Five plays and five winners, but it's just as you would expect at the prices played.
It's not so much picking the winners, it's dodging the losers.

We need a very high strike rate here
If anyone has any bankers they want to throw in feel free.

Good Morning all

I'm smiling as we had more interest on a Norwegian game than the Man U v Chelsea game.

To address Nic's question theres nothing particularly exciting about why I was looking at the game.
There's a guy I sometimes bounce thoughts off who tends to bet mostly on football, and just for a bit of interest in the summer we pick a Scandinavian game each as a banker bet plus choose a NB , minimum odds 1/2 and we generally manage to get a treble between us as invariably one of our two selections are the same.

I then use these selections in a £25 treble with Betway thus qualifying for their free Bet and Get promotion - you get 2 lots of £5 bets.
I do throw a few more bets their way as the account would soon get pulled if thats all you were using it for.

Then in turn i use the two free bets (along with any from other bookies) for punting ante post on the four golf majors - I tend to chose 5 players each year and just spread the money between them across the events, so effectively I've got a free portfolio to watch the majors.

(i'm just a saddo :> )

...................................
The bookies have the likes of Man Utd v Chelsea sewn up so seldom any value there. The more obscure the better Hoof, so keep 'em coming for vultures like me and Harry :lol :lol to pick the bones.

As soon as SPIN put up their prices yesterday I had a supremacy buy at 1.2 (SPIN) on Gateshead v Bradford Park Avenue (Nat League North Tuesday 13th). Bradford have started the season with 5-0, 5-0, 3-0 defeats, having sacked their management team after the second loss, replacing them with Marcus Law and Lee Fowler. After the 3-0 home defeat to Kidderminster on Saturday Law gave an interview where he bemoaned the weakness of the squad and the number of inexperienced youth he has at his disposal. He also expressed surprise at how far away many of these lads live and said he would not really be able to get everyone together for a proper training session until this Thursday - so effectively there will be little chance to alter things before the trip to Gateshead tomorrow night. Law did say he hoped to get one or two experienced players to sign before that game. Even if he does so, the players will have to be introduced when they walk into the dressing room!

My son went to Bradford on Saturday. It was a terrible game between two very poor sides (Kiddie have big problems too). He has never seen a worse side even at this level than Bradford. By contrast to Bradford conceding 13 goals already, Gateshead have only conceded 1 in their 3 games to date (all draws), but the problem is they have only scored once as well. However, surely tomorrow is their chance to be more attacking in front of their own fans. I may also go with fixed odds handicap bets on Gateshead.

Gateshead goals may be decently priced with Skybet. 4/1 for >3.5 and 11/1 for >4.5.

Expected to get a bit less than I wanted on but was pleasantly surprised not to be limited (though hardly going "all in").

FK Qarabag/APOEL: Buy Romero's goal minutes at 9 and back him anytime at 9/2, both with SX.

No more than 6/4 anytime elsewhere (though only a few firms have priced this game). 6/4 way too short on his career stats but has scored a brace in his few games since joining the hosts. Playing as one of the front 3 and think SX have underestimated his prospects.

Can't see that they have signed anybody at all, Harry. Nothing on official website nor on twitter feed. I've also backed Gateshead -1 h'cap, -2 Asian and -5 h'cap at 60/1 (Coral) just in case. What can possibly go wrong? :> :> [My forecast is that Gateshead win 2 - 0].

Thought 365 2 up goal rule only counted on singles
Leeds came up as a win
