Good luck Nick

Yep the meetings covered seem really low grade & a lack of proper form means for me its more guesswork than anything, miss hcps to be honest more than anything, The aussie stuff seems to be more punter form friendly but I'm indisposed for a lot of it :snooze

Only 10% return on the silly corona multiple. Whilst Envoutante won, the other horse failed to place.

Have had a small each way heinz at Randwick (Aus) for their big meeting - pity Marquand is suspended!

R3 3.20 Julian Rock 7/1
R4 3.55 Paradee 13/5
R5 4.35 Gayatri 8/1
R7 5.55 Eric The Eel 22/1
R9 7.15 Mister Sea Wolfe 14/1
R10 7.50 Rubisaki evens

Virtual National

The general consenus is Tiger Roll wont be winning but will make the frame, for what its worth if there putting in all the statistics in the computer then my fiver ew will be on Magic Of Light 18/1 second last year beaten less than three lengths & would have been closer but for bad blunder at the last & 4lb better off.

One at Tampa

Hay Hay My My - 5.25 9/2

Wide open race but My My has been running in slightly better class & would have a great chance on his second two runs back, decent draw & worth an ew play.

It's a complete long shot but I'm hoping lightning will indeed strike twice with Foudre (04.00 am Ballarat). [French scholars will appreciate the pun ;-) ].

Foudre is trained by Matt Cumani and will be ridden by Fred Kersley. This combination's last runner was 2-y-o Khoekhoe who won at over 20/1 in today's small hours in a maiden at Echuca over 1200 metres on soft ground. Khoekhoe's previous and debut outing was an educational 9th at the end of February.

Foudre has run once - at Cranbourne on 16th March when 8th of 13 on good ground over 5f. Today's race is a maiden over 6f on soft ground. What attracted me to Foudre in the first place is that she is a filly by second season sire Night Of Thunder whose progeny have an excellent record on soft ground. With the omens aligned in this auspicious way I couldn't resist an each way dabble at 100/1 (skybet). Betfred are actually 125/1.

Just to mention that Tom Marquand is back in action Down Under with 8 rides at Randwick. The first one is at 02.35 BST.

I've permed the lot in each way trebles (56 bets).

Only a double for Marquand, but it was great to see Addeybb power away so dominantly despite the ground not being ideal.

Nice one, Boots :cheers . Had them in an each way patent that returned just over 150% of stake thanks to Zippy's SP return of 16/1 :) .

I did a separate each way yankee at Gulfstream with a non-runner and a winner helping. The only failure was the favourite (Grimpante) in the opener who went off at 6/5 and I had broken my rule and backed it in a single at 5/2. I am rapidly coming the the conclusion that it's not worth backing anything short in the USA.

I have been dabbling on Todd Pletcher's runners at Gulfstream. Over the last few days he has had two runners in a particular race twice. Both times the outsiders won! The first was Blewitt which was available at 20/1 and yesterday Varanisi drifted out to 12/1 with his other one Guacamole runner up at 3/1. On jockey bookings Varanisi should have been the more favoured {8 {8 .

I feel the sensible option is small unit multiples on double figure priced horses.

Ta Nick
I also did Gripante at 5/2 in a trixie with another loser & Zippy at 20/1 *,
yep doing shorter ones is not very fruitful

Two I have played so far today are

Rollin River - 8.45
Wilky G - 10.15

Absalom- 8.30 Tampa 9/1

Won here over six & looks to have chances as it should follow round the pacesetters in a good position, like the fact it ran over a mile last time & drops to seven which I think should suit & looks to have a decent ew chance.

I've been tempted by Relishment in that race, Boots, and so far have just put him in a multi. Trainer Gerald Bennett has a 23% strike rate at Tampa Bay. His last 14 runners have all been here, and only one has failed to make the frame (and that was 4th of 9). He has had 4 winners in that lot. What puts me off is that Relishment won on his first outing for Bennett back in December but since then has run as if he has a mind of his own. From the videos I've watched he is on and off the bridle and keeps plenty back for himself (to coin a Weaverism). I'll probably swerve, despite 15/2 being a backable each way price. Good luck with Absalom :thumbs .

I've actually put all 6 mounts of Antonio Gallardo (plus Relishment) in a deluded super heinz.
