22:45 Will Rogers Downs

Knox Court 8/1

Jockey 5 from last 7 all at the track, two of those for this trainer, interesting for one this price that nearly 500 of the £600 pounds matched on the exchange have been for this horse so probably worth a small dabble at the price.
:thumbs :thumbs Great price, Boots - only went off at 3.10.

Places but no winners in mine :). .

Apologies to Boots for probably stealing his thunder, but it might again be worth following Knox Court's trainer/jockey combo (Leandro Goncalvez/Jon Arnett) for today's racing at Will Rogers Downs. There are 3 horses:

8.15 Award It 2/1
10.45 Shred The Rules 9/4
11.15 Lakota Princess 7/1

The jockey has a further two rides (both for Kari Craddock)

10.15 Kottoncandy Kisses 4/1
11.45 Kavalli 33/1

I've put them all in a very small ew L31 then, because of Kavalli's price, I have done the first four in a separate ew L15. Prices are better elsewhere with bookies where I can't play.

Kottoncandy Kisses - 10.15 4/1

Been running in better grades the 4's with Betfred catches the eye as they are laying first 3 in this seven runner race dare I say almost a bet to nothing

Yep just makes things longer to look through *,

They have first five races up

Shadowing 7/2 pp 9.15 - Half sister to a 16 race winner & should come on from first effort when 5th in a better race on debut.

10.45

Wanted to do an ewd with Shadowing by adding My Wise Cat but pp are only 7/4 where 5/2 is on offer elsewhere, one other worth an ew play is Elkhorn Poet Consistant sort ran unplaced in a 40,000 race last time has moved stable both trainer & jockey among the winners recently & the 8/1 in this weaker event looks interesting.

Can't see Tiger Roll winning it would cost them a fortune

Couple at Will Rogers

Lidante - 11.15 4/1 Last run was over an inadequate 5 furlongs & will feel more at home here over this mile not only that but takes a big drop in grade, danger could be L A Tower first run for new stable this mile is the minimum trip for him & will be coming late but maybe just too late.

Plenty Of Munny - 10.45 5/1 Get the feeling the one that beat it last time is a pretty decent animal this looks pretty weak & trainer & jockey combo had a winner here Sunday.

Well played with Shadowing, Boots :thumbs .

I only recovered just under 30% of modest stake yesterday.

I thought it might be worth sticking with Leandro Goncalves at Will Rogers Downs again this evening. It appears that he only has 1 ride on the card and this is for trainer Kari Craddock. Goncalvez has a 41% win strike rate for this trainer. The horse is Jerry's Vision who run in the 9.15 (Race 5) and is available at 8/1. The horse has only run once (on 31st August) making a winning debut over slightly shorter but also on dirt (at Remington - Kari Craddock's second most successful track). I haven't been able to find a video of that victory but it was reported to be impressive with Jerry's Vision staying on well and finishing strongly.

Good spot Nick, I'll take the 8's
Same combo with Kavalli yesterday your 33/1 shot not placed but ended up 8/1 so can see this being shorter.

Got lucky on OLBG my original nap was a nonner so went to a late race the 11.15 & found the 5/1 winner thus topping the table ( hopefully ) not confirmed as yet.

Change of track over to Tampa Bay
Experiment, probably a bit early but best traded horses on the fair so far

Aunt Irene
-5.30 over £1000 matched on the fav here basically all the money on this one, priced accordingly at 10/11
Hubba Bubba - 6.00 5/2
Game Day Drama & Perp - 7.30 both 6/1
Sense Of Justice - 8.30 7/2
Our Country - 9.00 11/8 second best backed horse at the meeting

Maybe a double first & last race fav 7/2 shot

Congratulations, Boots '# '# . Do you win hard cash as well as kudos? Hubba Bubba has done the business nicely in the 2nd race :thumbs .

I've been on the lookout for debutant 2-y-o's and 3-y-o's who are sired by Night Of Thunder, as he was an excellent first season sire in the 2019 season. There is a 2-y-o maiden at Geelong (Aus) at 4.00 am BST for 15 mainly unraced horses. Australia's star trainer, Chris Waller, runs Kukeracha in a field of 15. He's an unraced colt but both the stats and the trainer should not necessarily mean that's a negative. Last season in the UK Night Of Thunder's crop had a 31% win strike rate on debut and a 43% strike rate overall on good to soft going. The ground at Geelong is officially good pre-meeting but showers are expected.

There seems to be a healthy price difference with our bookies who vary between 9/2 and 8/1. Might be worth a modest bet. Seems to have a decent draw in 4.

After copious research how about the following all at Remington Park:

12.00 Corona Moon 9/1
12.26 The Corona Cowboy 6/1
01.44 Corona's Jess On 25/1
02.36 Spit Prize Corona 16/1

The eagle-eyed will spot the degree of research undertaken ;-) .

My token play for today

Token 9.05 Gulf 4/1

Certainly improved when stepped up to a mile last time & from the one stall should be able to dictate matters to its advantage, one for the short list.

Great HD stream from last meeting there, no reason it wont be there for today either.

As well as the silly "corona" bet (ew L15), I did do a small each way double (skybet) earlier and now see that I am in opposition to Boots' pick :> . Both mine are by sire Uncle Mo and seem to have decent place prospects.

I don't think there's any way I'd have a decent single bet on this American stuff. From what I've seen this week some of the jockeyship is a little bizarre, especially in the dirt races. I think the likes of Ben Curtis and Ali Rawlinson could do really well on the dirt tracks in the USA.

8.34 Gulfstream Days Of Spring 4/1
9.05 Gulfstream Envoutante 11/4
