Get yourself subbing round some big local building firms instead. The main joiner on our site is on the books, and earning over £80k a year. All he does is first/second fixes, soffit and fascia, and trusses and joists. If I had a week spare I’d learn how to do it myself! :lol

The plasterer is £100k. Fooking madness.

My board has changed colour. Is it just me or did it happen for everybody? I’ll have to suss out how to get the orange and black back.

This was posted on the Forum Maintenance thread yesterday

The Puntersmate board has been updated overnight.
Please let me know if you have any problems.

Once again we are faced with the issue of the board style not being available, as the author no longer updates it.
So still working on that. But we will have to change to a different style sooner rather than later.

So there will be work going on with the styles for the next while
If anyone sees any style changes please refer to that thread.

We are on a bit more. Our apprentice is just starting his third year (that has flew by) and I think he’s probably laying £500/£600 worth of work a week for us. When you take in the laboring he does too, he makes our life very easy.

In a years time he/we will have to make a decision on his future. If he stays with us then he’ll want a good wage, which will mean our wage will have to drop a bit! Or he could start his own gang and still stay with the firm. I’m still not sure which I’d prefer just yet. He’s definitely distorting our wages at the moment though.

We’re getting to that time of the year now where we can get random days of because of the weather. Every morning can possibly bring you that nice little surprise.

Could be a day off tomorrow. :clap :clap

I don’t know if it’s Brexit concerns or just a bit of a lull, but apparently house sales have dropped fairly rapidly amongst our sites (25 of them on total). They’re putting a few more sites on hold for now, which should’ve been starting very soon.

I’d imagine people are holding off buying until all this bollocks is sorted out. The last thing we need is another recession.

Am I right in thinking he is Domino from off here who got booted a while back?

Auto correct nearly confused me there. :lol still not sure what ‘feel sick thirsty’ should’ve been though? Unless it is as it says?

My father in law was diagnosed with diabetes late in life and he practically ignored it. He didn’t live very long.
