Does that mean no work and no pay, Timmo?

I shall pop in the bookies after work and have a catch up. I don’t think I will be spending as much time (and money) as I used to in there though.

Any of the gourmets on here ever indulge in take away pizza? Thinking of having my first post apocalypse pizza this week and was wondering about the respective merits of Dominoes, Pizza Hut and Papa Johns. Only ever had a Dom's delivered, been in "the Hut" to eat but not for years. Inclined to try Papa John's.

Any views welcomed.

I’m a fan of them all. Papa Johns is very nice, and slightly different to your regular pizza joints.

I've never been a Pizza fan, although the rest of the family enjoy them.
Papa Johns opened a shop fairly close by, didn't last a year before they closed it.

That’s what I was like yesterday. Nearly ordered one myself.

I’m getting bored with all our local takeaways.

I’d never heard of them either. Having had a quick look there’s one in Derby and one in Leicester and they look good.

Every single doner kebab taste exactly the same now. Twenty years ago they’d be carving big chunks of meat off the skewer, and it’d be slightly crispy on the outer layer. These days it’s wafer thin shite. It’s only the sauces that give it any kind of flavour.

I often go for an ‘upmarket’ kebab now from the Indian. I order a peshwari naan, a chicken tikka main and a pickle tray. Put the naan on the plate, add the chicken then pour over the contents of the pickle tray. Beautiful!
