Happy birthday, Timmo. :cheers

There’s some proper cunts out there, Fenners. I wonder if he flashes the cash elsewhere, or just in the bookies? Everybody will have their suspicions. Either some Eastern Europeans or some smack head.

I know the horse has already bolted, but we got CCTV installed after our break-in. It cost £500 and I’d say it’s a pretty cheap deterrent. Worth getting BEFORE it happens to you, imo.

I’ve just done that deed. I turned round after five minutes and came home. It’s blowing well!

That's not the only reason the veggie meal tasted crap. As for no beer I go by the Kevin Wilson comment 'I turned teetotal once, was the worst three hours of my life.'

Fen when i stopped smoking, gave up drinking for a couple of months, also about 3 years ago gave up for six months or so just because I wasn't enjoying it, just drinking out of habit. Now I enjoy my beer and wine and meat, and I'm old enough to think 'I enjoy it so why give it up?'
ps I also stopped punting under rules for three years (with some exceptions) because I wasn't enjoying it-but last 6 years been fun ( a lot of credit due to this site.)

I’m surprised by how little damage I’ve seen locally. This is the worst wind I’ve witnessed for some time.

On the plus side, we aren’t allowed on the scaffolding today. :clap

Brill, Fenners. :thumbs

A week is a long time to be in intensive care. It’s definitely the place to be though. That’s where are nurses are nurses, and not glorified careers. He’s in good hands. :clap

It’s six years ago today since my missus got took in. She had five weeks in intensive care, and three months in hospital. We’ve kind of forgotten what life was like before that.
