Cheers, lads :thumbs .

Still irritated that 33/1 shot Capla Spirit was done a nose into 4th place after being squeezed and losing momentum at vital time - would have gone well with Cheat in that multi!

No Way Jack - 7.50 Galway 25/1
That would be Gowran Park of course :thumbs

Oh dear :>
Yep Gowran where it has run some good races in the past, just an occasional shower today so dont see the ground getting any worse than yeilding so fingers crossed its soft enough
Thanks Boots. Very happy with the payout I received on all bets placed on NWJ. Certainly sorted my day out as the big EW doubles paid off with just Benadalid and NWJ paying near on 24/1 for a place double :)

Excellent Jan '#
Nick '#

Cheers guys just a shame they never had the rain we had down south today, I would be pretty sure it would have won.
Just got in to watch it, no-one will remember but I got some info for Highway To Heaven in Ireland last month, jockey pulled its head off finished in the ruck, just won the last race at Gowran, could have had all the 33/1 you wanted *,

Chepstow 5.00

Foresee 8/1 ( been bigger ) nb - War Eagle 12/1

Great jockey booking for Foresee & will appreciate the cut in the ground, lower mark than last win & one of the more likely ones, War Eagle never got into the race at Notts, its 8lb lower here with claimer up & drop to class 5 would hope for better this time round.

Chepstow 6.40

Cool Strutter 14/1 - nb Counterfeit 20/1 ouch the latter cut to 16's while I'm writing this !

Cool Strutter raced alone from a low draw over C & D last time, better draw & 6lb lower with claimer up & wont mind the soft ground & does look an ew play, Counterfeit another with a claimer up & runs off 43 now, won three runs back over C & D off 47 under similar conditions, that win was also second time out so the 20's seems big.

Unreliable type. Nineteen runs since last win in 2015. 13¾ lengths seventh of 10 to So Near So Farhh in handicap at this C&D (good to firm, 7/1) 44 days ago. Not easy to make a case for.

1710 Lingfield Goldflash
Unlucky fourth lto at wolves..
2lb drop + stall 1 and what looks an easier race than his last

1700 Chepstow Marengo
3 times course winner now 7lb below his last winning mark running off 70
5 wins from just 25 starts

Did not run well lto at Chester over 1m5f.. but the time before at Chester looked the winner clearing 3L clear over 2f out only to be caught out by super kid 1/2 furlong

1930 Yarmouth Herringswell
Course record reads 3133.. The win came in july last year off 55 today runs off 45... looks over priced at 22/1..

18:25 Yar - Balladeer 10/1 ew 4 places B365 (only 9 runners)

Was looking at the EW Extra price for this; it was 10/1 in their normal market and a penalty of only 1 pt in the EW Extra market. Then I logged in and they just changed to 11/1 normal and 10/1 EW Extra, so that settled it for me. If this runs to form I can't see it out of the first four (I remember saying this before on here though). You lose BOG though if using EW Extra.

For me, the Chris Wall Fav didn't beat much last time and is surely overbet now, stepping up in class.

Typed all that and it's now back to 9/1 *,. It might come back though.

Racquet - 4.55 Thirsk 16/1

Won the race last year off a mark of 49 with the claimer up, ground similar & again has a high draw, different jockey on board & comes here 9lb lower SO hopeful of another decent run.

Maybe lightening will strike twice, put Racquet up for last years race at 22/1, win last year was when 9lb lower than previous win so the 9lb lower from last year looks promising.

1900 Thirsk Our little pony

Caught eye lto when Second over c&d.... got caught out wide.
Hopefully better today

1920 Newmarket Guildhall

Has not had the required ground this year and yet run very creditably behind Dreamwalker (giving that one 7lb) at Haydock who since finished 4th in a Class 3 at Sandow

With the weather at Newmarket Rain from 3pm onwards conditions should suit for a big run

Trainer in form with some big price winners latelty

A small speculative each way in the opener at Clairefontaine (12.45) which is a claimer for 2-y-o's on reportedly good to soft ground over 7f. There are 13 runners including Karl Burke's Gin Gembre who does not seem to have progressed since a good 2nd at Beverley back in April when sent off 5/4 fav. I suspect the "soft" in the going may not suit.

The one I prefer is Stan Moore's Get The Look who is 18/1 with Corals and Ladbrokes. As a filly she receives weight from all bar one on the field and receives 7lbs from Gin Gembre. Get The Look actually ran at Royal Ascot in the Albany, although unsurprisingly was well down the field. She has subsequently run at Clairefontaine over today's trip (Moore runs many horses in France) finishing 6th in a similar event on soft ground. Her sire is a first season stallion, Brazen Beau, whose progeny have proved well above average so far with a very respectable strike rate. Moore has booked Barzalona for the ride. Worth an each way dabble for me at 18/1 available.
