March got off to a bad start when I promptly lost £31 on a trade by my personal mistake, and compounded a week later as we dropped another £115 loss which we'll put down to the Brexit chaos which was going on. Regardless, they all still count and we have to take those on the chin and record them as losses.

This last week has seen the traders revert back to pre-Christmas settings of 0.02 per £1000, and as you can see has seen some cracking results. :)

Running total for March + £135.10
We pay 20% of the profits + £15 for server for the following month. So if I've done my maths right comes to £93.08

Going great Col, you must be looking forward to some decent gains in April now they've reverted to the previous risk setting. Any thoughts on your strategy here? Just letting it ride and enjoying watching it grow is obviously a perfectly legitimate option but I wondered if you had any inclination to add more funds? I assume one could top up with a lump sum or even add, say, £100 per month if so inclined and treat it like a regular savings scheme?

Also, any thoughts on when you might draw down any of the profits, e.g. if your current balance grew to £10k?

Been trying to get my head round how the figures are displayed, e.g. this month's profit of £135.10 followed by (-£63.06). Worked out that's a comparison to last month, e.g. the difference between last month's profit and this month's.

Re the profit in £ terms but loss of 181.5 "pips", am I right in thinking that's the equivalent of making a loss to level stakes but showing a profit because of the staking plan?

I had to go and have a look at where you were reading that harry.
To be honest I never venture down there, mainly because I'm following the graph every day.

I have thought about adding more funds, but I've got £4300 in there now, and at the end of the day it's not free money, their is risk involved.
So I think that's as much as I want to put in. Although there are guys on the group chat who post screen shots from their phones, and there are some very big accounts on there 50k and upwards.
Sorry if I'm not being clear about that, but when you see the profits rolling in, you really do want to add more funds, but you still have to be sensible.

Of course the options to deposit are always there, you can deposit any time you like
Withdrawing is a bit different, that has to be done when there are no trades ongoing.

The trading increments go up a point every £500, so all going well I'll be on that shortly.

I feel like I should start drawing some profits once I get over 5k, but then I may change my mind depending on how the trading is going.
Re the profit in £ terms but loss of 181.5 "pips",
I'm not really clued up on the "pips" side off it, so I can't really say with any conviction.
The link I posted earlier would probably give you a better idea.

There are trades running just now, but will be hoping to close on them today, as it's NFP day tomorrow and they don't trade then.
I'm off on holiday at the start of next week, so if anyone has any questions about this, feel free to message me over the next few days. :thumbs

Thoroughly steeped in the jargon now Col! :lol

I had to google it; Non-Farm Payroll day in the US apparently and makes trading more volatile!

I've had a few messages regarding the minimum investment.
Minimum investment is £1000

The only way around that for people who want to get involved, is possibly a group investment.
It would have to be £200 - £300 depending on how many wanted to get involved.

If you are interested send me a PM.

Still following with interest, there seem to be a lot of open trades in the red(EURJPY in particular) so hopefully the machine hasn't had another glitch or you're going to end up with a sore bum tomorrow! In an effort to learn a bit more about this forex lark I'm going to go to one of these "free" seminars where I'm sure they will try to upsell you if they can and I've also found a free(for 1 year) EA robot which I've just started running today on a real $250 USD account just to see how it works...after a day I've made $2.39 on a closed trade and have 1 open position of -0.92

Summary:
Deposit/Withdrawal: 250.00 Credit Facility: 0.00
Closed Trade P/L: 2.39 Floating P/L: -0.92 Margin: 11.31
Balance: 252.39 Equity: 251.47 Free Margin: 240.16

whatever all that means...

I have linked to myfxbook to track but so far haven't managed to make it publically viewable as I can't change my investor password in metatrader4 for some reason to get my account verified - I'll figure it out or use the support to help no doubt. Early days but percentagewise it's doing as well as can be expected!

I had a lot of bother doing that charlie, in the end I had someone do it for me.
If you find any good youtube videos that help let me know.

Yeah, the EURJPY trades have been a pain, but look like they are on the way down now.

Whilst I may have over-egged the potential scam pudding in my initial reaction to Col's investment, this is definitely an area where scammers do operate. I'd certainly be wary of that at any of those seminars. Leave your wallet and cards at home! :)

Was going to say that a few red trades overnight was nothing unusual and they usually seem to green up well but just noticed the current state of play (-£863). Is that into uncharted waters Col or have you seen that sort of position before?

No you're right harry, that is unchartered waters. {8
I've seen a similar draw down come back with very nice profits, and at one point this morning I thought this one was going to do the same. But it then proceeded to rise again.

It actually doesn't need a very big spike to hit the take profit button, but it could just as well hang about for a while
There is some talk in the chat rooms with graphs and such, which gives you a bit of perspective.

I'm not unduly worried at this point. :)
