Although I do have to say there are some guys in these groups who love to post pictures of the great profits they have made, but the minute it goes into draw down, it's continual moaning about why those trades were placed in the first place. People who are obviously over invested. :)

Still following with interest, there seem to be a lot of open trades in the red(EURJPY in particular) so hopefully the machine hasn't had another glitch or you're going to end up with a sore bum tomorrow! In an effort to learn a bit more about this forex lark I'm going to go to one of these "free" seminars where I'm sure they will try to upsell you if they can
Whilst I may have over-egged the potential scam pudding in my initial reaction to Col's investment, this is definitely an area where scammers do operate. I'd certainly be wary of that at any of those seminars. Leave your wallet and cards at home! :)

Was going to say that a few red trades overnight was nothing unusual and they usually seem to green up well but just noticed the current state of play (-£863). Is that into uncharted waters Col or have you seen that sort of position before?
Absolutely harry, most of these seminars are just slick sales pitches anyway, I did go to one about 20 years ago and I'm sure they haven't changed much!
Last night it was closer to -£1500 so it's made a good recovery and will hopefully continue tomorrow.
My own small experiment is sitting on $257.01 so a good day for me too but too soon to tell of course.

Another stonking day! I see most of the trades are in the Euro-Jappy pair which is one of the most volatile so I guess their software must be optimised for that kind of market. I was advised to trade the Euro-Swissy pair which is one of the least volatile. Interesting comparison...I ended the day on $264.03 which is also pretty spectacular for 3 days trading! I'm still a little dubious about their claims, however time will tell. I'm sure there will be certain market conditions which will trick the AI into making a series of losing trades - that's how most of these Forex robots end up or so I've heard!

Well that got a bit messy getting out of the Euro-Jpy trade.
It hit TP (take profit) which triggered the closure but the price then spiked up causing chaos.

Some people made profits, and others lost out.
I'm personally about £40 down of that bunch of trades, but considering what it was sitting at yesterday, I would have settled for that.

Dodged a bullet there col! I'd be pretty happy with the minimal damage too - the forex markets can bite pretty hard but you've come through this battle relatively unscathed :)

Yeah, although it was only a 40 quid loss, the trade itself and how it was handled has made me question what way to play this.
Still only a couple of losing days since I started in Nov last year, but as the money grows, the riskier it gets.

I'll have a think on it over the next couple of days.

Be interesting to see what they're saying over on their forum but I'm sure days like this are perfectly normal, can't expect to win everyday! The upwards trend is still looking very promising. Meanwhile I'm sitting on $273.20 but got some red open positions to the tune of -$30 - a little of which is my fault as I was messing around with some other currency pairs and must have made a boob a bit like yourself when you lost a little last month :>

http://www.myfxbook.com/members/charlie ... 12/3276778

in case anyone is interested. Not sure why I have so many open orders in GBPJPY and EURJPY as I don't remember doing that, maybe I attached the robot to those charts briefly and then closed them down? I can always manually cancel them I guess.

Ended up deleting a lot of pending orders, about 20 of them as didn't want to leave them running all night - no clue what I'm doing, lol.

Evening chaps :)
I've reassessed my position here.

Watching this EA in action is fascinating, the way it jumps in and out of trades usually with profits, is very addictive.
As you can see I'm well ahead, day in and day out.

But when you get stuck in a trade it can get a bit hairy if you are not used to it.
I've reached 4.5k and the reds when a trade goes against you can get quite large. Not only that, you find yourself studying the market all the time, watching the numbers going up and down.
I don't want to be tied up with that, I'd far rather just drop in at the end of the day to see how it's done.

So with that in mind, I've decided to reduce my risk to 3k, and thereafter withdraw anything above that.
The end result hopefully, will be to have taken out all the money I've put in, and let the profits do the work.

Interesting approach col. I think you have a reasonable amount of data to have a fair amount of confidence in these guy's product but a big disaster is always possible! I am still hoping to join in with this venture but thought I'd have a play around with a smaller account and presumably a lesser robot as your guys are more likely to be actively tweaking and managing their robot to hopefully optimise performance. ICmarkets are known to have a much lower spread than a lot of brokers which is definitely a good thing, the spreads on tradefred are pretty high by comparison but I didn't have much choice who to open an account with.
I guess it would be better not to watch the trading "live" but I do understand it can be pretty hard to stay away from constantly checking what it's up to. I do think that 3k is probably the minimum you would want to invest to make a decent return, 1k seems a bit too low as harry touched on several pages back what with the server fee and 20% commission. Hopefully you will get to a point where you are on a freeroll so you won't feel so bad if the big crash does occur! No signs of that happening yet though I might add...

I'm amazed that I'm up 9% after a week but too early to tell if that was just good luck! Market opens again at 10pm Sunday(or will easter monday delay it?)

That sounds like a wise decision to me, Col.

As Charlie says, hopefully you’ll get to the stage where you are free rolling, and if the worst case scenario did ever happen then at least you wouldn’t have lost money.

The results are still superb.

£1k was a bit low when we were running at reduced risk, but we are now running at 100% which is 0.02 per £1000
So I think £1k is an ideal starting point. :thumbs

I can see why you would choose to do that Col, i.e. take some profit out rather than risk one of those overnight red numbers turn into an actual loss. What might you do; reduce the balance to £3k then let it grow till it hits £4k and withdraw again?

Is there another way to reduce the risk as your bank grows bigger, e.g. reduce the "0.02 per £1,000"? The equivalent, I suppose, of reducing your staking plan from £100 per point to, say, £50 if you were following a tipster?

Hi harry

I'm going to reduce it to £3k as from trading starts on Tuesday.
I'll be withdrawing anything over £3k just as and when need be, As long as it's over £3k then it'll trade at 0.06

You also have the option in the control panel of reducing your risk from 100% to 75% or 50%, but I think I'll leave it at 100% for now.

Dear Customers

In respect of the upcoming Japanese Golden Week the EA has been switched off until 7th May 2019.
The potential risk does not warrant the exposure. In this instance everyone can rest assured that their trading accounts are not being exposed to “significant unprecedented risk”
Since Forex trading carries a high level of risk in this instance we feel that this is the best course of action to take
.

Just a heads up for anyone on the verge of joining up.
These guys are getting really busy, with a backlog of people waiting to get connected.

This week they will have no distractions and connections should go through quite quickly.

If anyone wants in just send me a message.
