Re: Daily Racing Thread

Well played with Shadowing, Boots :thumbs . I only recovered just under 30% of modest stake yesterday. I thought it might be worth sticking with Leandro Goncalves at Will Rogers Downs again this evening. It appears that he only has 1 ride on the card and this is for trainer Kari Craddock. Goncalvez ...

Re: Daily Racing Thread

Apologies to Boots for probably stealing his thunder, but it might again be worth following Knox Court's trainer/jockey combo (Leandro Goncalvez/Jon Arnett) for today's racing at Will Rogers Downs. There are 3 horses: 8.15 Award It 2/1 10.45 Shred The Rules 9/4 11.15 Lakota Princess 7/1 The jockey h...

Re: Daily Racing Thread

Have found 5 horses from Will Rogers Downs and Fonner Park who look very well in on official ratings. Have put in a very small win canadian (only 70p unit stake): 7.15 Will Rogers Downs Tiago's Song 10/11 9.15 Will Rogers Downs Porsumsugaronme 7/2 10.15 Will Rogers Downs Champagne's On Ice 15/8 10.5...

Re: Daily Racing Thread

If anyone else (like me) is checking the Australian racing to see when/whether Tom Marquand is riding again, sadly he has picked up a suspension, as this extract from Racing Post on 28th March confirms: But Marquand will have to wait to add to his Australian tally as he said: "I got a three-day ban ...

It's impossible for the lay person to have a clue but here is in effect the opposite view to Peter Hitchens.

Apologies to anyone who does not speak Korean '# and will have to read the sub-titles. It's a long interview but very worthwhile.

Re: Daily Racing Thread

Cheers, Boots and unlucky with One Short. I found that Marquand's last one was beaten a head *, . Idle minds etc, but I've had a look at the trotting card at Solvalla since our bookies have priced up and theoretically may have made a few ricks. I looked at a Swedish site (ATG Swedish Racing) that is...

Re: Daily Racing Thread

Cheers, lads :cheers . Something went wrong with Sky+ recording at the end so only just found that Mask Of Time was 2nd. Don't know if it was close or not. Would have been a real KABOOM if he had won. Thankfully all the goodies came in the same L15 that paid the equivalent of 13.35/1 on amount stake...

Cheers, lads :cheers . My first L15 has Mount Tabora 12/1, Southern France 12/1, Fascino 16/1 and Oceanex 25/1 Second one has Purple Sector 17/1, Holyfield 10/1, Vegadaze 9/1 and Mask Of Time 10/1. For the place element I've gone with the Aussie tote place getting the best place dividend from the th...

Re: Daily Racing Thread

Tom Marquand has 9 {8 rides at Rosehill's stellar meeting that starts at 1.30 in the morning and is on SSR. Goes right through to 6.50 am. Might be worth setting the SKY+ to watch some racing on Saturday morning. Of Marquand's rides 7 are in Group races, and there is a piece on the ATR website where...

Re: Bricklayers fred innit

I know it's not possible for everybody but those who aren't too far from rural areas should bear farm shops in mind. They have loads of potatoes, carrots, swedes, parsnips etc, and I' ve just returned with several Hobsons bottled beers and Oldfields ciders as well. Some also have fridges with yoghou...

Re: Daily Racing Thread

82% of stake back on L15's after a good start but over-ambitious with last two horses. Glad I couldn't do the distances bet I favoured since the total was 15.6 lengths i.e. 0.5 lengths short of target (Betfred's loss :clap ) . Spread bet on SP's was 4 points short of 47 target, so all in all not rea...

Re: Daily Racing Thread

The best Naas distances bet I can find is over 16 lengths at 13/8 with Betfred. I have tried in vain to place a bet with them but no dice whatsoever. Considering the spread buy prices are 18.2 (SPIN) and 19.5 (SX) that Fred price is attractive. Coral are over 20 lengths and skybet over 19.5. Notably...

Re: Spreads.......

Given the ground conditions (drying heavy/soft should be very sticky and difficult for many horses) there could be one or two big surprises at Naas today.

Have had a modest buy of total Naas SP's at 47 (SPIN). [That is the sell price with SX].
