Re: Football for the season 2019-20

6 yellows busts one bet but just lands the other. Another small profit on the day.

Will have another crack at it if there are games next weekend.

Re: Football for the season 2019-20

Neman Grodno v FC Vitebsk:

Played <60 at 5/6 PP and 4-6 cards at 21/20 with Hills.

A bit higher on the spreads than the earlier game but recent history of 60-10-20-50-20-60 seems reasonable enough.

Re: Football for the season 2019-20

6 yellows. Sky Bet's loss (by limiting me on the losing <50 bet) is my gain. Quick look at the next game now to see if low cards stacks up again.

Re: Football for the season 2019-20

Going again in the early Belarus game. Isloch v Smolevichi: 4-6 cards at 11/10 Hills, <50 at 11/10 Skybet, No cards shown at 50/1 Skybet I'm getting the vibe that this isn't too much of a high card league, looking at the head to heads in each game. Last 6 between these saw 30, 10, 30, 20, 10 and 100...

:thumbs Just ordered a case from Majestic, 14 day wait for free delivery but not in a rush. Also, I follow Jancis Robinson on Twitter and she’s posted a list of wine merchants who are delivering. I can post the list if anyone’s interested.

Re: Film thread (and the odd book)

Just posting for anyone else still behind the curve! :) Been recording Hazell on Talking Pictures every Friday night (London private eye drama based on books co-written by Terry Venables). Just noticed they’re re-running Out at midnight so going to give that a go. Tom Bell gets released from prison ...

Re: Film thread (and the odd book)

Currently re-watching Spooks on the iplayer. Just noticed that my TV has the app for Rakuten TV on it and they’ve got a load of films you can watch for free. Nothing very exciting, probably all been on TV already, but there was a gambling related one called Lay the Favorite that I might try. Worth a...

Re: Football for the season 2019-20

All bets bust in that one, 6 yellows and a red.

Having a bash at the next game, Gorodeya v Shakhter Soligorsk. <50 at 5/4 PP and 4-6 cards at 11/10 Hills.

Another blowout and I'll probably go back into punting hibernation!

Re: Betting Reminiscences

Must admit my own enthusiasm for this spur of the moment rambling has waned somewhat so not surprised at the lack of response (though I see Fenners is threatening us with his whole life story)! {8 To quickly finish it off, I noticed the tips on various sports in the RP and cottoned onto the idea of ...

Re: Football for the season 2019-20

Just done a "deep dive" on the bookings market in the Minsk derby that's about to kick off (I believe the pies are fantastic, Minsk pies, geddit?) :> Spreads pitched around the 60 mark but recent history doesn't suggest this is too explosive a fixture in terms of cards. Played the following (Paddy o...

Feel free to join in if it helps pass the time. Few things we could do like how you got into punting, biggest wins, worst losses, most embarrassing mistakes etc. Let’s start with your betting beginnings. Allow me to express myself as Kevin Rowland might say. Early betting would’ve been social, e.g. ...

I have not said anything because i thought i was mad I think I speak for all of us when I say you can rest assured that's taken as read Fenners. ;-) Similar scenario myself, really bad cold in the run up to Christmas, briefly went and came back again/got another one early in the new year. Re: Firestick Query

Took the plunge and ordered one, got it from Curry's via ebay with 15% off. Should arrive tomorrow. I'll shout if I struggle with the set-up but should be fine. Just hoping it's easy enough for my mum to use. Should be ok given she made the transition from video to Humax recorder ok and does alright...

Re: Firestick Query

Cheers Col, she’s got broadband & the TV I had before I “went smart”. She’s got Freeview and a Humax recorder but I was thinking having iPlayer etc would give her a bit more to watch.

Can you use it just via the remote if you don’t want to use the voice control feature?

Firestick Query

Leaving aside the more “exotic” use they can be put to, am I right in thinking these can be used just to turn a “dumb” TV into a smart one? Thinking I could get my mum one so she can have catch up TV etc, assume they work for that, just plug it into a HDMI socket? I believe they might get enough pow...

2 games tomorrow actually. Tigers v Knights: Joey Leilua to score a try at 9/4 with Fred Titans v Eels: Phillip Sami to score a try at 23/10, a brace at 15/1 and a hat trick at 160/1, all with Lads (boosted from 9/4, 14/1 and 125/1) Both players where the try minutes prices suggested the anytime pri...

Re: Superleague 2020 (And any other club RL)

No joy today, tries in short supply. 3 point loss on a sell of Tupou try mins at 26 in the Roosters game (was allowed that bet despite a 3 point arb existing) and missed a sell of Tedesco in the same game that would have won (rejected and offered reduced stake with a 1 point arb existing). Will have...

Had my requested refund back from them ok, shows as LC International which, I assume, is the Ladbrokes connection. Both them and Lads are listed as having medium protection for client funds. Paddy & BF have high. Fred the only firm I bet with who have no protection.

Sharks v Storms: Josh Morris to score a try at 11/4 PP (cut to 23/10 in the wake of my bet) and 13/5 Lads, bit on the brace at 19/1 PP and 18/1 Lads.

Only thing that appeals to me in the 3 games tomorrow.

Re: Superleague 2020 (And any other club RL)

Well done Nick. Small (£12ish) net loss for me across all the bets. Walker obliged (so I guess Paddy are a good judge after all) but Naden scored a try and Broncos hotshots weighed in at 100. Will take a look at tomorrow's games.

Re: General Problems

Also in that game I backed Cody Walker anytime at 13/5 with PP for what I could get on (now cut to 21/10) and topped up at 5/2 with Fred. Also took what I could get on him scoring a brace at 11/1 Skybet and 10/1 PP. So little to bet on but not stopping the bookies applying their piddling little lim...
