Re: Daily Racing Thread 29th June - 05th July

Having a go at my old favourite Smash Williams today. Did back the horse to 4th last week in the Greenland but wasn't confident of anything better. Back to what I think is the preferred 7 flgs today and a drop in grade this is reflected in being offered at 7/1 - 9/1 rather than the 25/1 of last week...

Re: Daily Racing Thread 29th June - 05th July

Luigi Vampa - 4.25 Haydock looks better than 9/1 ew I've done the 100/1 Amhran Na Bhfiann in the big one. Was surprised the horse wasn't in the Irish Derby but maybe needed longer to recover from the previous race beaten into 4th by what subsequently was the 2nd, 3rd & 4th of that race. Have backed ...

Kempton 3.55

Have been waiting for Audarya

Like everything right now, this is a risk. I like the horse and 12/1 ew with 365 seems fair.

Re: Bricklayers fred innit

Quite delicious and very moorish . Either that's a rare example of a Fruity typo (started earlier than usual on the cider perhaps) or this is a particularly exotic concotion redolent of the Spanish Moors? ;-) Mucho apols old chap....use of the word moorish stems from my family when we talk about so...

Apropos what everyone is drinking right now. I've taken to quaffing a fair amount of this. Quite delicious and very moorish.

Problem is, once I start I'll burn through a few bottles by late evening (I'm tending to kick off around 4.30pm these days)

Re: Bricklayers fred innit

Hello all, still surviving this terrible time here. Keeping low and drinking far too much. I've been talking to friends of mine over in China this week to try to get some semblance of reality to the ridiculous numbers they declared. All my friends are Brits and European expats living in Changsha, Qi...

Checking in with you all. So far only a few shuffling off their mortal coil in my circle. Son in law's grandfather (89 suffering from COPD) showed symptoms one evening around 7pm, by 2am he was gone. I didn't know him and Son in Law seems sanguine about it as the old guy never had anything to do wit...

Another thing- I attended college studying meat technology, actually spent most of the time running card schools but did learn a bit, when it comes to sell by date, look at meat first- most beef and lamb OK well past sell by date if it looks OK, pork looks a bit slimy sometimes even before 'best by...

Re: Bricklayers fred innit

I’ve not got any recipes but I’ve got an easy sauce for pork chops. Ketchup, soy sauce, worcs sauce, bit of garlic and brown sugar. Mix it all together and pour it over your chops. I found it online as a marinade, but I think it’s better added after the chops have been cooked as a sauce. All our ma...

Hope you're all keeping well and safe. Apart from my critical provisions posted the other day, I have been getting used to making more food at home. Re: Daily Racing Thread 09th - 15th Mar

Tobefair - 3.30 Cheltenham As the Posts states, looks out of his depth in this. However, for a horse that is 5/5 to be in the first 4 here and has a record of 9 wins and 4 places in 21 hurdle races 40/1 for 5 places with bet365 looks good to me. Have also taken 30/1 6 places for cover and profit. I...

Haraz - 5.00 Lin 25/1 Form is pretty poor to say the least, but its finally got a low draw, taken very wide from its draw last time but had no chance in a class 5, been a while since its worn both Hood & blinkers together one of its two career wins came with that combo on, more than half the field ...

Will take a few minutes out from the Rugby this afternoon to watch the 3.00 Sandown. Have had my more recent style of bet on Clondaw Cian. Starting at 70/1 5 places down to 20/1 for 9 places with bet365. Small profit for ninth, anything better builds the margin nicely. Reason why? The horse, to me,...
